Okay....I've not had this problem before with a skin, but this one I'm working on now is about to drive me crazy. I've imported an image in to use as the menu background on the pulldown menus, and the MS Menus. For some reason, it's not showing up. It says it's there in Skinstudio, and it shows in the window preview just fine. But when I actually apply the skin, the menus are all pinkish/white instead of silver, which is what they're supposed to be. I thought at first that maybe I didn't apply the transparency to the menu item highlight, and it was actually covering up the menu, but no. If anybody has any idea what might be going on, I'd appreciate it. I know it's kind of hard to figure these things out just by telling what's going on, but I'm giving it a shot.

I stand corrected.

From the description: "Submit your artwork and designs so application skinners can create skins from your designs and masterpieces!"

What type of image is it? If it's an imported png converted to tga it could be the colour depth. Some programs like Paint Shop Pro need to be told about colour depth/compression otherwise they use defaults.

Couldn't really say for sure without getting my hand on it. This is where WC could do with a WIP section...

The background image is a .bmp and the menu item image is a .png converted to a .tga by importing it into Skinstudio. The MSMenu image isn't working either, it shows as white with pale red edging just like the one in the picture above does. I've replaced them both with other images, made sure that the Menu item image has both transparency and translucency checked, and the menu background image has neither checked. Could this be a glitch in Skinstudio or something?

I am willing to bet your doing something wrong when importing or saving the image. Explain the process you go through. Something is wrong with the image itself. Be sure that the upper left hand corner pixel is transparent.

Most of the Menu Item image is transparent, the only image I have in there (of the 5 images) is the mouse over one. It's not anything different than I've ever done, just not sure why THIS particular time it's not working. AND the MS Menu image isn't working, which is a different one too.

Now I've got this going on as well with the MS Menu image. This is on the desktop at the top and bottom of the screen. It's pinker towards the bottom of the screen, and if I right click further up, it becomes whiter.

Here's the image higher up on the desktop.

Just wanted to tell everybody that I found out what was causing this weird event. I had accidently put an image in the MenuBackground.ReflectionMap section. Do I feel stupid or what? I wasn't even looking there because I don't use that section as a rule. Well, thanks everybody for trying to figure out what the problem was. I'll keep an eye on that section in the future!
